At Sorsa, our steel strapping manufacturing program not only includes different qualities based on strength and elongation, but also different surface finishes designed to offer greater protection against oxidation, especially when the materials are exposed to the elements.
Types of surface finishes:
Blueish: They receive a heat treatment that gives them their characteristic blue hue. They are the least resistant to oxidation.
Lacquered (or painted black): treated with a paint coat that significantly improves their resistance to the elements.
Zinc plated: Zinc-coated, they offer maximum corrosion protection, even in demanding exteriors.
