- This is a vertical circumferential strapping machine for coils, with a head in lateral position and pneumatic oblique feed until it comes into contact with the outside of the coil, all mounted on a structure or bed for its fixed anchorage on the side of the steel coil transport system in plants of the iron and steel sector.
- This technical solution is very necessary in coil rolling lines in hot HRC or cold CRC, pickling lines, tempering, finishing, galvanizing mills, Skin-Pass, ... always with the aim of performing one or several circumferential vertical strapping on the outer perimeter of the coil, while it moves on the cradle or galloping beam with inner axis in parallel position to the coil's direction of travel.
- Additionally, SORSA has heads for PET plastic strapping that reach 800 kg of linear tension on the package, which can work with straps up to 32 mm wide, ideal for cold rolling, finishing or galvanizing applications, as well as the latest technology heads for steel strapping in HRC hot rolling mills, with TIG welding system without linker or clamp, which allows us to guarantee a reliability of the sealing point of minimum 95% or more, being this value the highest in the market by far.
- We design special solutions for this application, including strapping machines with motorized displacement on rails, including lower sword to cross the cradle or lower support bed, strapping machines with one or 2 interchangeable head assemblies, in order to increase the versatility and speed of strapping, i.e. productivity, or to have a safety or back-up unit in case of need for maintenance of the first head.
